Created using watercolor, ink and gouache on Aquaboard and completed on January 28th of 2020, “The Water's Blood” is one of eight works created by Liza to give the appearance of stained glass, which were inspired by and designed to be utilized in her cover performance of “Cells Planets”.
“Cells Planets” composed by Erika Lloyd and Vince Peterson is a remarkable piece of music, which Liza first came into contact with in 2015 while performing in a community choir. Little did she know the lengths to which this song would captivate, inspire and keep her moving forward in life when all else seemed hopeless. For Liza, “Cells Planets” is a loving reminder of how the smallest and biggest things in our planet and universe are all the same, and that our purpose in life is to love, be loved, and to let go of worry and pain. After all; our troubles today might seem overwhelming, but in the scheme of creation, we are delightfully minuscule. The visual story created by Liza in “Cells Planets” is meant to celebrate the beauty and similarities in the tiniest pieces of our existence, to the grandest scale imaginable.
